Pericles
Pericles, a 2013 Renault Master LWB Mid Roof was converted into a cottage camper in 2020. This conversion goes beyond the conventional standard of campers, from the herringbone roof, to the ample kitchen area. Pine shiplap lime-washed and oiled and trimmed with western red cedar conveys a warm, lively cottage feel.
The converted layout provides comfortable room for cooking and eating meals without the feeling of being crowded.
Storage is ample, with under-bed drawers, a sizeable bedside wall cabinet, and the rear of the vehicle affords access to stow items beneath the standard sized double bed.

Layout and Design
Pericles has been converted as to provide easy access to the living area. The traditional stealth van layout includes ample food preparation and food storage, a fixed standard sized double bed, and ample storage for clothing and personal affects. The island bench, which houses cleaning items and waste disposal, as well as the single burner butane cooker (dual burner stowed beneath the bed), can be removed if required.
Electrical
Power management on the go is provided in two ways. Firstly the twin 200w solar panels fixed to the vehicles roof charge dual 120 amp hour lithium batteries via a Renogy MPPT solar converter. Secondly, the Renogy DC to DC charger with a LiIon profile charges the batteries while Pericles is being driven. The Renogy MPPT solar converter has an included Bluetooth module that allows you to monitor the solar input from a mobile phone app. The Renogy battery monitor displays real-time power consumption and battery levels at a glance.
Plumbing
Water storage is provided in the form of a rear inlet that fills a 60 litre water storage container beneath the bed. A hose and attachments are include in the rear storage area for easy refilling. This 60 litre water storage delivers water to the sink via electric pump, and also delivers water to the 10 litre 240v electric hot water system. The most efficient use of the included 240v electric hot water system is to bring the water up to temperature (approx. 30 mins) during daylight hours.
