Ares
Converted from a 2014 Ford Transit VO LWB High Roof, Ares was designed with simplicity and ease of living in mind.
At the outset it was considered that Ares would be an adventurous camper, and so was designed with a modern, bold feel.
There is seating for two, with two extendable tables, ample storage and room to move.
Layout and Design
The layout for Ares was designed to be clean and minimal, whilst maintaining room and comfort. To maximise internal space the bed was built crossways into two wall cavities to extend the bed length. A main kitchen bench and island sink provided ample room for food preparation.
Electrical
A single 150W solar panel charges dual 160AH AGM batteries via a solar MPPT charger. The batteries are further charged by a connected DC to DC charger, topping up the batteries while the vehicle is being driven. 12v and USB power sockets provide accessible power, couple with a twin socket 2000W inverter.
Plumbing
Water storage in in the form of a rear inlet filled 42 litre internal water tank. This 42 litre water storage delivers water to the sink via electric pump, and also delivers water to the 10 litre 240v electric hot water system. Grey water is stored in a dedicated tank beneath the sink which is able to be discharged via the sliding door and extension hose.
